Intro to fundamental skills for new players and for players who are returning to the game. Progress from racquet skills and self-rally in a free-form court to 36' partner rallies in your first practice.
Even for returning players, this is the recommended place to start.
Transition to single-touch 60' rallies. Learn directional control for 10+ ball rallies in preparation for full court competitve play at level 3.
New to MVT?
Level 2 is also an entry point for players with strong past experience, a history of formal instruction, and no recent gaps in play.
All players should understand basic footwork patterns, athletic postures, and stroke mechanics before registering for Adult 2. Consult the frontdesk support team for more information.
Transition to full court point play. Players will model basic tactics and fundamental footwork during points and will be encouraged and prepared to join adult leagues. Participation in a USTA league is recommended for more experienced players in level 3.
An NTRP rating of 3.0+ and instructor approval is required.
Level 4 is designed for competitive adults with 3+ years of matchplay experience. Players will practice tactics, strategy, footwork, and shot selection that complements their individual play style. Currrent participation in formal USTA matchplay is highly recommended.
An NTRP rating of 3.5+ and instructor approval is required.
Level 5 is designed for adults with backgrounds in competitive tennis. All practices are 85 minutes long with an 8:1 player to coach ratio and a 4:1 player to court ratio. This level has the same hitting format as Circuit 3 for highly-ranked USTA juniors.
An NTRP rating of 4.5+ and instructor approval is required.
